Dr. Mulholland became an attorney after more than twenty years in academic and medical research. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University and did postdoctoral research in Belgium and Germany where she was an Alexander von Humboldt fellow. Her research and teaching experience encompasses cell and molecular biology, reproductive and developmental biology, endocrinology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and plant biology. Before practicing law, Dr. Mulholland served on the faculties of Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She has published widely in medical and scientific journals and has received research grants from many sources, including the National Institutes of Health and NASA. Dr. Mulholland's legal practice focuses on patent prosecution, opinions of counsel, client counseling, trademark procurement, and litigation support. Before joining RatnerPrestia, Dr. Mulholland practiced law in the area of commercial litigation, focusing on patent and trademark infringement in fields such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical diagnostics.Dr. Mulholland is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is a member of the Women in Law section of the Delaware Bar, the Intellectual Property section of the American Bar Association, and the Biotechnology section of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She is also a pro bono attorney for Delaware Volunteer Legal Services and the ACLU. Dr. Mullholland is a member of RatnerPrestia's Chemical / Biotech / Pharmaceutical Group. |
