Joy Galliford joined ProObject in 1998 as the first Director of Training. She developed the company's technical training business and continues to provide consulting, mentoring and training to commercial and government clients in the Baltimore / Washington corridor. As the Director of Human Resource Development (HRD), Joy coordinates employee professional development efforts. "It's a pleasure being part of a company that is truly committed to the technical and professional growth of its employees," she states. Ms. Galliford has more than 15 years of engineering, software engineering and technical training experience. She mentors teams on software processes, best practices and software analysis and design methodologies (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design). Joy holds IBM / Rational consultant / instructor certifications in OOAD, Rational Rose, Requirements Management and the Rational Unified Process (RUP). Joy's extensive engineering experience also includes requirements analysis, simulation and modeling, software analysis, design, implementation and system level testing and integration support. She has developed simulation software used in the power plant industry and has also been involved in software development for real-time, embedded radar systems. As the mother of three, Ms. Galliford has served on the literacy, technology, science, enrichment and fund-raising committees of local PTAs throughout the past decade. She volunteers at area schools, Scouts and churches and, in 1999, Joy was honored by the State of Maryland Department of Education for "1,000 Hours of Outstanding Volunteer Service."Joy Galliford earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her graduate studies focused on software engineering methodologies and processes and she is an experienced technical trainer on the topics. |
