Current responsibility
Joshua is a senior consultant with the Financial Risk Management practice based in London. He joined the firm in 2004 and is responsible for product development and risk management for clients throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Experience
Joshua specialises in financial risk management and guarantee product development. Over the last few years he has worked on more than a dozen variable-annuity-style product development assignments throughout the UK and European markets. He also has experience in designing, testing, and monitoring dynamic hedging programs for international clients in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and Europe.
Joshua has over 10 years experience in applying risk management principles in the life insurance, pensions, and asset management sectors across the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Prior to joining Milliman, Joshua spent two years working for the National Australia Group, Europe, where he was responsible for implementing a financial risk management strategy for the group’s defined benefit pension schemes, in addition to providing actuarial support to the life insurance and finance divisions.
Joshua also has extensive experience in asset management, having been an associate director for UBS Global Asset Management in Sydney for four years. His responsibilities included strategic asset allocation, quantitative valuation, risk and optimisation analyses for the fixed income and equity teams, and performance measurement.
