Joshua Wanderer advises clients on the tax aspects of various business and operational issues, including inbound and outbound foreign investments. Josh also regularly counsels companies on the tax implications of specialized property transactions and has focused on issues such as 1031 exchanges.
Mr. Wanderer’s clients have included domestic and foreign corporation, partnerships and joint ventures, venture capital funds and private equity funds, hedge funds, REITs and high net-worth individuals. In the course of his work in these industries, he has helped in the formation, including the drafting of organizational documents, of numerous early-stage companies.
Mr. Wanderer was a tax partner at a prominent national and a cross-border firm.

A prominent online brokerage firm concerning its initial formation and subsequent investments by venture capital firms
A pioneering VoIP provider in structuring the tax aspects of its formation
A fund-of-funds with over $15 billion under management on the tax issues regarding its fund investments
Real estate investors in 1031 exchanges involving multiple sellers of property and using tenant-in-common interests
A public investment arm of a Canadian provincial government in structuring its U.S. real estate holdings
An Australian purchaser in multi-party negotiations regarding the tax provisions for the purchase of a business operating in nearly 30 countries
A privately-held company in the acquisition of a public company
An alternate energy provider in the monetization of its investment tax credits.
