Joshua Salisbury is vice president of corporate business development at Eli Lilly and Company, where he has responsibility for in-licensing, outpartnering, M&A, venture capital, and innovation. He also serves as a member of the company’s senior management council.
Salisbury has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. He was a National Merit Scholar, a recipient of the Howell Murray Award, and recipient of the LeBaron-Ellis Fellowship.
Salisbury previously was a managing director in Morgan Stanley’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group. His various Lilly roles include executive director of biotechnology strategy, executive director of strategy for the Lilly Research Laboratories, and executive director of corporate finance and investment banking. He was the recipient of the 2005 Six Sigma Leadership Award, presented annually for leadership in Six Sigma implementation across the company.
Salisbury also currently serves as chairman of the Indiana Future Fund Advisory Board, a regional venture capital fund, as an advisor to the BioCrossroads Seed Fund, and as an independent advisor to The Innovation Factory, a medical device incubator.
He served as chairman of the Sycamore School Capital Campaign in 2005, and currently serves on the school’s board of directors. |
