Mr. Lozner joined Mezz Cap in June 2005 as Vice President Contracts & Structured Finance to assist in the closing of structured finance transactions as well as other legal aspects of Mezz Cap’s loan programs. In December 2005, Mr. Lozner was promoted to Senior Vice President and given management responsibility for the closing, legal and contracts group. Prior to joining Mezz Cap, Mr. Lozner was a commercial real estate and bank finance associate at Stites & Harbison, PLLC for approximately two years where he represented conduit lenders in connection with closing CMBS loans on all commercial property types. While at Stites & Harbison, in addition to his conduit activities, Mr. Lozner also was involved in transacting mezzanine, A/B loans, preferred equity and other complex loan structures. Before joining Stites & Harbison, Mr. Lozner was a corporate and capital markets associate for approximately three years at Dewey Ballantine LLP, where he represented market participants in connection with equity and debt transactions. He was also responsible for drafting and negotiating registration statements, prospectuses, underwriting agreements and other financing related contracts. Education - Mr. Lozner graduated with his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and holds a Juris Doctorate from the Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of New York and Kentucky, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Louisville Bar Association. He is also licensed to practice law as an in-house counsel in the state of New Jersey. |
