Josh spent the first half decade of his life in Bloomsburg, PA, where renegade hippies of the 1980s flocked to raise their young. At seven, he moved to Martha’s Vineyard, MA with his mother. It was there, in a High School Photography and Design class, that he found the Macintosh: the perfect tool for the lazy artist who can’t stand re-doing things by hand. After his third year at Keene State College majoring in Graphic Design, Josh found his way to Florence, Italy studying with SACI, an art intensive exchange program. Upon return to the states, he went to San Fransisco to intern with TBWA/Chiat/Day for the summer. After graduating and opening ilipsis design with Megan Gadd and Sam Berlow, he honed his design and production skills for web and moved to Boston to join Font Bureau in September, 2000. Josh hopes to streamline, refine and expand their website. Josh is happy with the Big City Life, but you’ll rarely find him clad in black, and when the weather’s nice and the wind is blowing, you’ll llikely find him far from the hustle-bustle. |
