Mr. Distler is the Chief Operating Officer of Attenuon, LLC, a clinical stage oncology drug development firm. Prior to joining Attenuon, he was a Vice President with the D. E. Shaw group, a global investment and technology development firm with $25 billion in aggregate investment capital. Mr. Distler worked in new business development and asset management at the D. E. Shaw group and was responsible for developing the business plan for a financial technology startup and subsequently supervised biotechnology investments. Prior to joining the D. E. Shaw group, he worked for the Chief Economist of the U. S. Department of Labor during the Clinton Administration. Mr. Distler holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was awarded a John M. Olin Fellowship. Mr. Distler was the first employee of Attenuon and has been responsible for establishing the general strategy of the Company and many of the Company’s activities. |
