Josephine Hicks represents a wide variety of clients including manufacturing and chemical companies, textile companies, insurance companies and public utilities.
Ms. Hicks represents and advises these clients on a broad range of issues, including:
Insurance coverage disputes, including disputes over coverage for environmental related claims, construction disputes, general liability claims and "stop loss" insurance for health benefit plans
Products liability, premises liability and industrial accidents, including asbestos exposure claims
Defense of personal injury, death and property damage claims
Damage claims unique to the defense of public utilities
Ms. Hicks served as law clerk to the Honorable Harry W. Wellford of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1986-87.
While at Vanderbilt University, Ms. Hicks was the senior student writing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
