Joseph is a founding member of Veoh and has led the designing, building and scaling of Veoh’s product and infrastructure technologies for the past two years. As VP of Engineering, Joseph manages the technology development teams around multiple Veoh products, including the Veoh.com web site, the VeohTV beta application, Veoh’s proprietary peer-to-peer (P2P) network, the company’s video encoding pipeline, and Veoh’s search and recommendations capabilities. Prior to his tenure at Veoh, Joseph was lead engineer and manager at Websense, a global leader in content filtering, web filtering and web and desktop security software. Joseph was part of the technology leadership team that helped take Websense through a successful IPO to an eventual $1.5 billion market cap.
Joseph began his professional career as a software engineer working for defense agencies at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego, CA. He’s been passionate about technology and media throughout his life - he wrote his first program at age 10 on Commodore VIC-20 - and has spent most of his lifetime programming.
Joseph is based in San Diego, CA and has a BFA from NYU in Film and Television Production.
