Joseph Figlewicz is a veteran of the finance industry and brings to Focus Management Group over 30 years of restructuring experience in financial analysis, accounting and management-information systems. Joe has specific expertise in pension planning, cost control, statutory reporting and employee compensation planning.
In a recent role, Joe served as a senior manager for a national turnaround consulting firm. He has directed over 200 restructuring engagements involving operational turnarounds, strategic analyses, due diligence reviews, DIP financing and cash management for companies in a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Focus Management Group, Joe was Assistant Secretary and Director of Financial Controls for Richard D. Irwin, Inc., a major college textbook publisher. During his tenure, Joe developed and implemented the installation of major computer systems, including budgeting, marketing analysis and financial reporting. Joe was also responsible for the administration of the firm's $5 million pension plan, as well as the design of the firm's tax-deferred 401K profit-sharing plan.
Earlier in his career, Joe held increasingly responsible positions for a major institutional food service supplier, beginning as an Auditor and progressing to Group Controller. Joe began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Joe is a Certified Public Account with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society (ICPAS).
