Joe is currently the Managing Director in charge of the New York office of Huron Consulting Group. He has more than 25 years of professional experience providing financial consulting services to some of the largest companies in the United States Europe Latin America and Japan. Joe has deep industry knowledge in the consumer industries including apparel auto dealerships department store and specialty retailing cosmetics consumer electronics food and beverage packaged goods healthcare pharmaceuticals and professional services. Additionally he has worked with the world's largest advertising and media companies.

Prior to joining Huron Joe was a Senior Partner at a major international accounting tax and business advisory firm. He held numerous significant client engagement responsibilities as well as geography and industry organizational leadership positions. In addition he had quality control responsibilities for regulatory filings of some of the firm's most noteworthy clients.

Engaged by legal counsel representing a major retail company to analyze various accounting and disclosure issues in response to a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigation. Areas of focus included revenue recognition lease accounting and accrual methodologies. Presented findings to the Board of Directors and SEC.
Engaged by counsel to advise on a post acquisition purchase price dispute involving one of the world's largest technology companies. Issues central to the dispute were related to asset realization and liability adequacy.
Engaged by counsel to assist the audit committee of a large consumer product company in a special investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Responsibilities included presentation of findings to the SEC.
Engaged by counsel to develop and support the company's position in a post acquisition arbitration proceeding. Responsibilities included interfacing with internal/external counsel and company financial personnel in discovery argument development and a presentation for arbitration.
Engaged by counsel to develop supporting positions in connection with purchaser claims in a transaction between private equity buyers and multi-national conglomerate sellers. Issues involved the application of accounting principles to highly judgmental financial statement accounts.
Engaged by bankruptcy and litigation counsel to provide expert testimony in connection with a post bankruptcy dispute between related parties in the technology industry. Responsibilities included expert court testimony.
Engaged by counsel to investigate the financial health of Latin American parties in connection with alleged damages resulting from a national strike. Responsibilities included developing arguments and presentation for an international tribunal.
Engaged by counsel to assist a large retailer in responding to an SEC inquiry resulting from whistle blower accusations. Issues involved evaluating accounting principles and estimates utilized by the registrant and reporting to the Board of Directors and the SEC.
Engaged by counsel to assist the audit committee of a large healthcare provider in responding to an SEC inquiry. Issues included income recognition and accounting for contingencies culminating in various presentations to the SEC.
