Joseph Chapman has been an attorney with Meyers Nave since 2001, and is a member of the firm's public law practice group. During that time, his practice has focused primarily on general municipal law and he has worked principally with the cities of Half Moon Bay, Fort Bragg, South San Francisco and Rancho Cordova. Joe has worked with these cities on a diverse array of topics including land use, code enforcement, and nuisance abatement. He has experience with a number of state and federal laws including the Subdivision Map Act, the Coastal Act, the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act, the Brown Act, the Public Records Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.Joe received a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1996. He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School Of Law in 2000. During law school, he served as an extern with the Government Accountability Project, a non-profit organization specializing in federal whistleblower protection, and he worked as a law clerk for Cline & Associates, a Seattle law firm specializing in public sector labor relations. |
