Joe Bahat is Chairman & CEO of Kesher-Rent-A-Car, an international licensee for Hertz Corp. He also acted as Managing Director for Hertz Israel Ltd. a subsidiary of Hertz Corp. Since taking leadership of Kesher-Rent-A-Car, its fleet has grown from less than 500 vehicles to more than 10,000 with revenues exceeding $120 million.
In 1990, Joe also took the challenge to establish the sole distribution for Honda Motor Vehicles in Israel. The company began with a single showroom and service facility but grew within three years to a network of over 20 dealerships, with three wholly-owned. Within five years, Honda had secured more than 5% of passenger car sales in Israel.
Joe previously spent 20 years with Ford Motor Company. He joined Ford in the UK and served in marketing, sales and export operations. He returned to Israel to join the sole distributor for the Ford Motor Company as commercial manager, and Ford secured the number one position in Israeli passenger car sales.
Joe is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the United Mizrahi Bank. He also serves as Vice President of the Israeli Federation of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Mosdot House, and as Economic Ambassador to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, as well as being a member of the Israel British Business Council. |
