Joseph R. Hanley was named vice president of Technology Planning and Services for Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. in 2004. Hanley is responsible for the development and execution of technology and related service strategies for the corporation and TDS’s business units, U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom.
Hanley was appointed to his current position at TDS after serving for many years at TDS Telecom, which he joined in 1989. There, he held a series of positions in service and product development management, engineering, strategy formulation, customer operations and technology assessment. Most recently he was vice president of Strategic Planning and Emerging Applications for TDS Telecom.
Hanley earned a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. |
