Joseph P. Ash, 50, was elected vice president and general manager, International Division, in September 2007. Ash was most recently director of special projects after serving as exploration and development manager in the Southern Division. Prior to that, he served as exploration and business development manager in the International Division. Ash joined Devon in 2000 when the company acquired Santa Fe Snyder Corporation. He began his oil and gas career in 1985 with Mitchell Energy Corporation, where he was responsible for exploration and development projects within the Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent regions. Ash's industry experience includes exploration, development, business development, budgeting and reserve planning. He has a bachelor's degree in Geology from Stanford University.
