Mr. Achenbaum has been involved with Kerlin Capital Group since 1996. In his twenty-five year career in investment banking, he has been responsible for over 155 financing transactions in excess of $7.5 billion and has completed over 45 merger and acquisition transactions totaling more than $2.0 billion. Mr. Achenbaum began his career in 1975 as an investment professional at Teachers Insurance and beginning in 1982 headed GE Pension Trust's Private Placement Group. During 1983, Mr. Achenbaum was recruited to Smith Barney where he rose to become the partner who headed the Merger and Acquisition Leveraged Buyout Group and the Private Financing Group at Smith Barney. In 1993, Mr. Achenbaum joined Bank of America where he headed the Equity-Linked Private Placement Group. In 1996, Mr. Achenbaum founded his own investment banking firm, Achenbaum Capital Partners, LLC (ACP) based in Stamford, Connecticut to provide customized investment banking services to middle market companies. ACP and Kerlin have collaborated on over a dozen M&A and financing assignments and Joe has continuously acted as a Senior Advisor to Kerlin. In 2005, ACP changed its name to Winston Advisors, LLC. In 2006, Mr. Achenbaum agreed to increase his involvement with Kerlin and serve on Kerlin’s management committee. Mr. Achenbaum is a graduate of Union College with a BA in Economics, and received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago. |
