Joseph M. Dagnese is vice president of consumer and industrial products groups for Menlo Worldwide, Inc., a $1.4 billion supply chain services subsidiary of Con-way Inc. that manages a full range of logistics activities in the United States and internationally for companies primarily in the automotive, technology, manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer product, chemical, and retail industries. Con-way Inc. (previously known as CNF Inc.) is a $4.2 billion transportation and logistics company with businesses in less-than-truckload motor carriage, truckload carriage, air freight, logistics, warehousing, supply chain management and trailer manufacturing.
Mr. Dagnese has held his current position since January 2005. From 1999 to 2005, he served as vice president of operations for Menlo Worldwide Logistics. He was responsible for the operational execution of various Menlo accounts, expanding current accounts and meeting customer expectations. He worked closely with customer senior management to develop strategic approaches to improve supply chain reliability, responsiveness and efficiencies, increasing customers’ value propositions within their respective markets.
Mr. Dagnese joined Menlo Worldwide Logistics in 1995 and served as director of transportation until 1999. In that capacity, he was responsible for the strategic management of Menlo’s $700 million global freight expenditure.
Before joining Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Mr. Dagnese worked for The Procter & Gamble Company for 14 years in a variety of transportation, logistics and customer service positions. His last position at P&G prior to his departure was manager, North American transportation operations.
Mr. Dagnese earned his bachelor’s degree in business and transportation from Indiana University. He is based at Menlo Worldwide’s headquarters in San Mateo, CA. |
