Joe Brower brings over 20 years of experience in investment banking business, including senior banker positions with both regional and international institutions. Before joining Cary Street in 2007, Joe was a Managing Director of Soles Brower Smith & Co. a regional investment bank which he co-founded in 1994. Prior to that, Joe resided in New York City where he was the Director in charge of the US Private Placement Group of Samuel Montagu, the merchant banking arm of Midland Bank PLC (now HSBC); prior to HSBC, Joe was a Vice President in the High Yield Corporate Finance Department of Citibank Securities Markets. He started his career in Charlotte with First Union Corporation in its investment banking division. Joe received a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1981. He received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Darden School in 1986 where he was a recipient of a Faculty Award for Academic Excellence. He resides in Greensboro with his wife and four sons. |
