Mr. Netherland was elected Chairman of the Board in December 2001. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of FMC Technologies from 2001 to 2006. Previously, he served as President of FMC Corporation from 1998 to 2001, and as Executive Vice President of FMC Corporation from 1998 until his appointment as President. He also served as the General Manager of FMC's Energy and Transportation Group from 1992 to 2001. Mr. Netherland joined FMC in 1973 as a Business Planner for its Machinery Group and held several management positions. He became General Manager of FMC's former Petroleum Equipment Group in 1985. He was elected a Vice President of FMC in 1987 and became General Manager of the former Specialized Machinery Group in April 1989. Mr. Netherland is a former Chairman and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and the American Petroleum Institute. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University and is a member of the President's Council at Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2002, Mr. Netherland was presented the Don E. Waggener - Butch Griffin Award from Spindletop International. |
