Joe Giesler, 49, is Terra’s Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations. He has spent the past 27 years in the agriculture and chemical industries and joined Terra when the company purchased Agricultural Minerals Corporation in 1994. Joe earned a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1980. Throughout his career at Terra and predecessor companies, he has held management positions that have resulted in broad knowledge in sales, operations, marketing and all factors that influence the markets in which Terra operates. As an outcome-focused leader, Joe has made valuable contributions to Terra as a senior manager for several years. He is knowledgeable in the ins and outs of the nitrogen business and is a very quick study. Terra benefits from Joe’s focused management of the energy and product distribution functions, in addition to his oversight of the company’s industrial sales and product demand/supply planning functions.
