McGoldrick began his career with the company in 1979 and held a variety of positions in accounting, corporate budget, strategic management, corporate planning, and rates and research, before being named treasurer in 1993. In 1996, he was named vice president of planning, policy development and treasurer for HL&P. In 1997, he was named vice president, operations for Reliant Energy International, Inc. He held that position until 2000, when he was named senior vice president, finance & administration - retail group for Reliant Energy. In 2001, he was named vice president of strategic planning for CenterPoint Energy. He became sr. vice president Finance & Regulatory, Regulated Operations in December, 2005 and assumed his current position in March, 2007. McGoldrick began his career in 1975 with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche in their Miami, Florida office.
Education and Accreditation: McGoldrick graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant.
Affiliations and Honors: McGoldrick is a former co-chairman of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Economic and Public Policy/Strategic Planning Committee of the Edison Electric Institute. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. McGoldrick received scholar-athlete recognition while at the University of Miami.
Personal: McGoldrick is a native of Elmhurst, Illinois. He has been active in various religious and youth sports organizations in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas. He and his wife Judy have been married for 24 years and enjoy sports and spending time together with their four boys, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. |
