Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Joe was Senior Vice President of American Appraisal Associates Inc. (AAA) and a member of AAA's European Management Committee.
Joe's valuation and financial advisory service expertise include acquisitions divestitures pretransaction valuation analysis and advisory services formations of special-purpose entities formations of IP holding companies estate and gift tax fairness opinions solvency opinions mergers minority stockholder lawsuits litigation support personal holding companies reorganizations bankruptcies and recapitalization.
Representative examples of Joe's engagement experience include:
Standardized financial procedures for the European Financial Valuation Practice as it pertains to the convergence of US-GAAP and IFRS.
Completed valuations to meet requirements for financial reporting under US-GAAP and IFRS U.S. and other international taxing authorities and various corporate and financial advisory services.
Completed valuations of common stock preferred and preference stock restricted securities private equity debt instruments and various types of intangible assets including computer software customer lists license agreements patents secret processes technical know-how trademarks and trade names and other forms of intellectual property such as in-process research and development.
Testified before the Delaware Public Service Commission; the Superior Court of New Jersey Hudson and Middlesex Counties; and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
