Mr. Kaufman represents the firm’s clients in consumer warranty matters, with an emphasis in representing automobile manufacturers in all aspects of Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and Unfair Business Practices claims. He has represented manufacturers at all stages of consumer warranty litigation, from pre-litigation attempts at resolution through mediation, law and motion practice, leading up to and including trial. Products Liability Mr. Kaufman also represents the firm’s clients in the defense of products liability claims in both state and federal courts. He recently second-chaired a three-week products liability trial involving allegations of brake and airbag defects, resulting in a defense verdict. Commercial and Business Litigation Mr. Kaufman represents the firm's clients in a variety of commercial and business litigation matters, including breach of contract, bad faith, and declaratory relief actions. |
