Jose Martin, senior vice president of human resources at CNET Networks, is responsible for leading the company's global human resources function. This includes attracting, retaining, and developing CNET Networks employees, as well as managing and developing the company's human resources team. Drawing on his experience in the entertainment software, hardware, and consumer packaged goods industries, Jose brings a unique approach to employee development, talent acquisition, management succession planning, and acquisition integration and support.
Prior to CNET Networks, Jose was group vice president of human resources at Electronic Arts (EA), the world's largest interactive entertainment software company. At EA, he was a key architect in shaping the global talent management systems and culture, and oversaw the integration of numerous acquisitions during a period of unprecedented and dynamic growth for the company. Jose also oversaw EA University, an employee development platform that fostered technical, artistic, and leadership development for employees worldwide. In the fall of 2005, EA received external recognition for this program with a Corporate University "Best in Class" award.
Before joining EA, Jose was in senior management roles with Adobe Systems, where he served inside their Worldwide Field Sales and Marketing operations. He has also held progressive HR assignments at National Semiconductor, Flextronics, and Kraft Foods Inc.
Jose lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his fiancé, where he is active in advancing the agenda for the Hispanic community. In his free time, Jose enjoys running, travel, music, movies, and getting an occasional fix of the latest gaming titles. |
