José L. Rodriguez is vice president, Supply and Optimization, for Lyondell Chemical Company.
Rodriguez transferred to Lyondell in May 2000 from Houston Refining LP (then known as LYONDELL-CITGO Refining LP). He joined the refinery in 1993 as manager, Planning, Evaluations and Manufacturing Coordination. He was promoted to director, Planning, Evaluations and Supply, in 1996 and was named vice president, Planning, Evaluations and Supply, in 1998.
Rodriguez began his career with Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the Venezuelan national oil company, and later transferred to CITGO Petroleum Corporation, PDVSA’s wholly owned subsidiary. He served in positions of increasing responsibility in technical services, operations, supply, marketing, planning, optimization and acquisitions for both PDVSA and CITGO prior to joining LCR.
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. |
