Jose Antonio Urteaga holds a degree in Economics (specializing in econometrics) from the National University of Mexico (UNAM), a Masters Degree in Hydrocarbon Administration and Economy from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), and a Certificate in Energy Economy and Planning, awarded by the Institute of Energy Economics of the Bariloche Foundation Mr. Urteaga has 23 years of professional experience in the field of energy efficiency, designing, developing and operating projects and programs in the Mexican Institute of Petroleum and in FIDE (Private Trust Fund for Electricity Energy Efficency). He has acted as consultant in projects supported by UNPD, OLADE, IDB and WB, and has participated in technical assistance programs to design energy efficiency strategies in Panamá, El Salvador and Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Thailand.Jose Antonio Urteaga taught at the UNAM as well as at IPN, and was President of ATPAE (Association of Professionals in Energy Efficiency). Mr. Urteaga is Vice President for Operations in MGM International. |
