Jordi Andreu was appointed president, Global Sales & Marketing, EMEA Region in December 1998. He is responsible for coordinating all sales activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from the company’s European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to this assignment he was vice president, Global Strategic Sales.
Andreu joined the company in 1981 as product manager, Barcelona Spain office for all Allen-Bradley products until he was appointed sales manager, Spain in 1982. In 1986 he was promoted to general manager, Spain.
Andreu’s sales territory expanded in 1990 to include Portugal when he became sales director Iberia sales offices and staff of Sprecher+Schuh AG, a leading European low-voltage control supplier acquired by A-B in 1993. In 1995, he was named regional vice president, U.S. West Central Region, The Americas Sales and Support Region, and one year later he was appointed vice president, Consumer Products.
Andreu began his business career in 1978, when he joined EXSA s.a., a Barcelona distributor of A-B products, as a sales engineer. He also was a PLC product manager for EXSA, from 1979 to1981.
Andreu received an Electrical Master degree in 1972 from Virgen de la Merced School in Barcelona and an Electrical Engineering degree in 1979 from Polytechnical Engineering School, also in Barcelona. |
