Jonathan King is Founder and President of Equity Guidance Inc. a newly formed mergers and acquisitions and corporate development advisory firm in Pittsburgh. He has over 20 years of private equity experience in all aspects of the business including deal generation valuation structuring negotiation due diligence corporate development strategic acquisitions and divestiture of both operating divisions and portfolio companies. In 1993 he established Stonewood Capital Management Inc. a private family investment firm focused on middle market management buyouts and early stage technology investments. Prior experience included positions as director of acquisitions for Allegheny Financial Group Ltd. vice president of a boutique investment bank and project manager for an oil and gas exploration and development company.
King is a past president of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and a former adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business where he taught "Buyouts & Private Equity." He is a past president trustee or board member of numerous non-profit and for-profit firms currently serving on the board of Red Zone Robotics and the Balmoral School of Highland Bagpiping. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Cornell University. |
