Jonathan Heiliger is the Vice President of Technical Operations at Facebook where he oversees global technology operations, site architecture and IT. In addition, he leads the development of systems enabling Facebook’s computing infrastructure to scale reliably. Prior to Facebook, Jonathan was an advisor to Sequoia Capital portfolio companies Bubble Motion, Stardoll and YouTube on Internet infrastructure and software development. Previously, Jonathan led Web engineering for Walmart.com, a unit of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. where he was responsible for infrastructure and systems from the data center floor to the application platform. Jonathan also spent a number of years at Loudcloud (Opsware) where he was the Chief Operating Officer and managed all functions of product operations. Previously, he was the Chief Technology Officer for Frontier GlobalCenter (Global Crossing) where he built the Web hosting and network businesses and later founded the corporate venture capital group. |
