Jonathan W. Sager was appointed General Counsel in September 2005. He came to MIB with extensive experience in life and health insurance regulatory compliance, claims, and insurance company operations. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Sager served as Counsel to the Health Care Affairs division of Excellus Health Plan, a large regional health plan in New York State; Counsel to the life and health insurance practice group of Hinman Straub, P.C, an Albany, New York law firm; and Senior Counsel, Insurance Operations and Litigation, MONY Life Insurance Company where he also served as Chief Privacy Officer. Mr. Sager is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), a member of both the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and the Association of Corporate Counsel, and a member of both the New York State Bar Association and Florida State Bar. Mr. Sager holds a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, where he served as Note and Comment Editor for Washington & Lee Law Review, and a B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. |
