Jack Lord, M.D., appointed August 2004. Dr. Lord has been Humana's chief innovation officer since May, 2000 with responsibility for designing and leading innovative health plan products and processes that encourage and enable people to navigate the health care system. Dr. Lord has been a leader in the movement to create a high quality, patient-centered health system for the last 20 years. He came to Humana from Health Dialog, a Boston-based Internet provider of health information to more than 5 million Americans, where he served as president and became a leader in e-enabled healthcare. Prior to joining Health Dialog, he served as chief operating officer of the American Hospital Association in Washington, D.C., executive vice president of Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, M.D., and executive vice president of Sun Health in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Lord received his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1978 and is a board-certified forensic pathologist with 21 years' experience in medical practice. Dr. Lord is a Board member of Disease Management Association of America and the Louisville Chapter for the Salvation Army. |
