Mr. Katz began his career in the early 1980’s in sales and management at Penton Software, a leader in the emerging statistical quality control software marketplace. Subsequently, in 1987 Mr. Katz was promoted to VP of Sales for Softext Publishing Corp., playing an integral part of their IPO and acquisition by MDS. In 1988 Mr. Katz co-founded Omnitech Corporate Solutions, Inc., providing application and network technology solutions to the Fortune 500 marketplace. As President and CEO of Omnitech, his winning leadership was evidenced by many milestones. Highlights included securing both an equity investment and technology agreement with Intel Corp., inclusion on the Inc.500 fastest growing private companies for over 8 years, and a seat on the advisory council for many leading technology partners. In 2000 Mr. Katz completed a merger/sale deal for Omnitech with Atlantic Ventures, leaving Omnitech with over 150 employees and 50M in sales. Most recently Mr. Katz has been active in various sectors of the investment community, and serves as President of Advanced Network Sciences, a global provider of business technology consulting. Mr. Katz holds his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Tulane University. |
