As vice president of global purchasing and Visteon Services, Jonathan K. Maples is responsible for the global strategy of Visteon’s purchasing activities and ensuring the company maintains a world-class supply base. Additionally, he is responsible for the quality, delivery and cost of leased labor, and support services provided by Visteon, through Visteon Services, to Automotive Components Holdings, LLC a Ford Motor Co. business entity. Previously, Maples served as vice president of Visteon’s North American Ford customer business group, responsible for overseeing all aspects of Visteon's Ford business in North America, including the development and implementation of customer-focused business strategies. Maples joined Visteon in November 2001 as vice president of quality and materials management. Prior to joining Visteon, Maples was executive vice president of business services for MSX International (MSXI). He was responsible for managing the company's quality relationship management, supply chain, human capital and custom communication services. Previous to his position at MSXI, Maples served as vice president of operations at DaimlerChrysler Corp. During his more than 17-year career with the automaker, Maples held a variety of positions in operations, supplier management, procurement strategy and administration, and sales and planning. From November 1997 to January 1999, he served as vice president of supplier management, a role in which he launched the successful SCORE (Supplier Cost Reduction Effort) program, resulting in significant savings for the automaker and its suppliers. Maples began his career as a senior accountant at PriceWaterhouse in Detroit and was a registered certified public accountant. Maples holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
