Jonathan Green is a Partner in the New York Office and the head of the Firm's Leveraged Finance Group.
Mr. Green has extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in a wide range of domestic and international financings, including acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs and recapitalizations, particular in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Recent transactions include representation of the lenders in the acquisition by ArcLight Capital of 18 solar, geothermal, and wind projects from Caithness Energy, the acquisition and refinancing of a portfolio of 12 power projects by NSG Holdings LLC, the $1.55 billion acquisition of Transelec, the Chilean transmission company, by Brookfield Asset Management and other investors, and the $450 million acquisition of Aquarion Company, the water utility in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, by affiliates of Macquarie Utilities.
Mr. Green also has acted as the partner in charge of a wide variety of project and structured financings in the United States and Latin America, including the Neptune merchant electric transmission line from New Jersey to Long Island; the $1.4 billion securitization of heavy oil receivables by Petrobras Finance and the Dutra and Lagos toll roads in Brazil; the Cadereyta and Madero Oil Refinery Projects in Mexico; the Alumbrera Copper and Gold Mine in Argentina; and the Antamina Copper Mine in Peru.
Mr. Green has been the featured speaker at numerous industry conferences and has been recognized by a number of publications as one of the country's leading finance lawyers.
