Mr. Polak is the Chair of the Intellectual Property Group and a member of the Firm’s Business and Litigation Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. He has litigated complex, multi-party cases in state and federal courts around the country. Mr. Polak has litigated intellectual property infringement claims on behalf of nationall-recognized rights holders, including Hershey’s, Volkswagen, Heineken, and Indiana University. He has also established a national practice in the area of the right of publicity, representing such personalities as Marilyn Monroe, Duke Ellington, John Wayne, Rosa Parks and John Dillinger. Mr. Polak has also been featured in the national media for his work on behalf of Fred and Kim Goldman, father and sister of the late Ron Goldman. He is currently working with the Goldman family in their pursuit of justice against O.J. Simpson, the person held responsible by a civil jury for the brutal slaying of Ron Goldman. Mr. Polak has appeared on ABC News Nightline, Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Show, Court TV’s Catherine Crier, and CNN Nightline News’ The Nancy Grace Show. |
