Experience
Mr. Koch has significant experience in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters including antitrust and unfair competition, intellectual property infringements, securities litigation, class action defense and contract litigation. He has also practiced in the sports and entertainment area for many years, representing various high-level professional athletes in a variety of litigated and non-litigated matters. He is a mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and in that capacity has mediated hundreds of complex commercial matters.

Mr. Koch is admitted to practice in Florida and Ohio (inactive), the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Recognitions, Associations and Professional Activities
Mr. Koch has been involved for many years in the activities of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and has served as the Chair of its Business Litigation Committee. He currently serves on the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Business and Contract Cases, as well as the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee. He has been a frequent speaker at seminars on commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution topics at seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar and other organizations. In 2004 and 2006, he was a speaker and moderator at seminars on international alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration) sponsored by the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation. Mr. Koch is also a member of the American Bar Association (sections on Litigation, Business Law, Antitrust and Dispute Resolution) and the Sports Lawyers Association. Jonathan Koch has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America, and has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
