Jon Rode is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rockwell Scientific Company. He oversees the commercial side of Rockwell Scientific's transformation from a captive corporate laboratory, a formal process begun in June 2001. His responsibilities include the growth of internal business in such areas as infrared imaging and mixed signal products.
Commercialization at RSC includes licensing both RSC's IP as well as IP for our parent companies, Rockwell Automation and Rockwell Collins, through a wholly owned subsidiary, Rockwell Scientific Licensing. Commercialization also includes spin-outs from RSC-developed technology. AltaSens, created as a stand-alone company in February 2004, is the first of those spin-outs and is based on -more than a decade of internal work on CMOS imaging. Jon has also led spin-outs of companies in the power supply space (ColdWatt) and in energy harvesting (CIIIS).
Prior to his current appointment, he was Vice President of Operations and Associate Center Director for Rockwell Science Center.
Jon received a BS and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Oregon, and has more than fifty technical publications and six patents. |
