Jon s career track leading him to StraussGroup as an engineeringrecruiter is non-conventional and intriguing. It s just one of manydimensions of his professional and personal character that make himadept at his trade. A graduate in electrical engineering from the StateUniversity of New Yorkat Buffalo, from college he went to work for DuPont as a chemical instrumentation engineer. After 3 years in thecorporate world, Jon opted for a more enterprising avenue. He started his own computer company and sold it after 25 years in business. Jon then ventured into the academic realm. He was named Information Technology instructor at ITT Technical Institute teaching operating systems, Routers, TCP/IP, SNMP and other networking classes at the college level. In addition to his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Jon earned his MBA degree from ITT-Technical Institute.
