Jon Setoguchi is an associate in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, and Ruud & Romo, focusing on business and employment matters. He also has extensive litigation experience in construction and tort litigation. Mr. Setoguchi aggressively litigates complex business and employment cases in state and federal court. He has extensive experience with class action lawsuits, particularly class actions involving claims for unpaid overtime, off-the-clock work and meal & rest periods. Among his many legal accomplishments, Mr. Setoguchi successfully represented a school district client in a lawsuit to recover damages against a roofing contractor and its performance bond surety. Mr. Setoguchi obtained a jury verdict in favor of his client and recovered substantial attorney’s fees. In another case, Mr. Setoguchi obtained summary judgment for a property owner client who was sued for premises liability and general negligence. Mr. Setoguchi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine, and Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Mr. Setoguchi is admitted to practice before all California courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
