Johnny McIntosh joined Southern Progress Corporation in 1984 and has held management positions in all the major divisions of the company. After starting his career as an accountant and then becoming controller and director of marketing for Oxmoor House, the book division, Johnny was named VP-Publisher, overseeing the development, publishing, and direct marketing of books. Later he was named Vice President of Consumer Marketing for magazines, where he was responsible for marketing such well-known titles as Southern Living, Cooking Light, Coastal Living, Southern Accents, Cottage Living, and Health. Johnny was involved in the planning stages of Southern Living At HOME and came on board as Chief Operating Officer in 2005. In 2007, he was named President. Johnny graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Management Accountant. Outside of work, he serves as an active board member for Just Keep Smiling, a foundation dedicated to helping the parents of permanently ill children. He is active in his church and enjoys writing inspirational music. Johnny and his wife, Angela, have two grown sons, John and Lee.
