John Weinhardt joined American Capital in November, 2007, as a Principal on the Operations Team.
Prior to joining American Capital, John was the head of Manufacturing Operations for Rain Bird Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of sprinkler and irrigation systems. Before joining Rain Bird, John was President and COO of Digitron Packaging, Inc., a leading Tier 1 contract packager, kitter and service provider to the North American auto industry. Before Digitron, John was President and CEO of Newcor, Inc., a publicly traded Tier 1 manufacturer of power train components, molded rubber and plastic components and special machinery and equipment. Prior to Newcor, John was a Vice President of Danaher Corporation and Group Executive of their Transportation Group. John began his career as a manufacturing engineer at Bendix Corporation which later became AlliedSignal. He rose through a series of positions in manufacturing, engineering and sales and marketing to become President and CEO of Prestolite Wire Corporation, a subsidiary, prior to joining Danaher.
John received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and his Master’s in Business from the Krannert School at Purdue University. |
