John Walker is a partner based in Milbank's London Office and a member of the Firm's Capital Markets Group.
His practice encompasses the full range of capital markets instruments and derivative products.
John has significant experience in relation to securitisation and receivables financings in respect of a diverse range of asset classes including residential mortgages, commercial property, auto loans, leases, credit cards, mail-order, reinsurance and swap receivables originated in the UK and Europe . Having acted for issuers, arrangers and investors on numerous financing transactions, John is entirely familiar with customary and synthetic financing techniques to secure tax, balance sheet or regulatory capital advantage. John has also acted for arrangers and underwriters on European balance sheet and arbitrage CDO/CBO/CLO transactions.
He has extensive experience of customary swap, equity and credit-linked derivative products, and related documentation, as well as more bespoke derivatives used for specific transactions. He has acted for a number of leading edge financial institutions in developing their product portfolios and executing related transactions.
John is a member of the Law Society in England and Wales, studied law at Southampton University and attended Law School in London. |
