John Van Scoter is a TI senior vice president and has served as general manager of DLP® Products since November 2000. In that time, DLP® products has seen a significant increase in customer breadth, market share gain and expanded product portfolio, establishing DLP® display technology as a very successful and rapidly growing business for TI.
Prior to joining DLP® products, Mr. Van Scoter served as a vice president of Texas Instruments working to start up new digital signal processing (DSP) applications, including Internet Audio/MP3 players and high-speed printing. Under his leadership, DSPs were successfully incorporated into these applications, which continue to thrive today.
During his TI career, Mr. Van Scoter also served as manager of worldwide ASIC product development & engineering, and deputy fab manager in the Miho5 wafer fabrication facility in Japan.
Mr. Van Scoter joined TI as a technical sales engineer in Boston after graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering in 1983. He is a member of the Consumer Electronics Association, Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. |
