John Vajda joined WorldHeart in June of 2005 as Vice President of Manufacturing.
Mr. Vajda is an experienced senior executive with backgrounds in pharmaceuticals, IVD devices, diagnostics and general instrumentation including electronic and optical assembly. He is a frequent speaker, nationally and internationally, on validation, process and design issues. His expertise includes process development, manufacturing, materials, engineering, facilities design and management, QC/QA, IT, marketing, regulatory affairs and business development.
Prior to joining WorldHeart, Mr. Vajda was at Centaur Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from January 1997 as Director of Operations and became Vice President in Februrary 1998. By one year later, he was Senior Vice President of Operations in charge of process development, manufacturing, engineering, facilities, QC/QA, EH&S, and IS. Previous to Centaur, Mr. Vajda was Director of Operations for Oculex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and ChemTrack, Inc. and spent 17 years with the Dow Chemical Co. in several executive positions.
Mr. Vajda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. |
