John manages the operations of ProLiance Energy, provides strategic planning and pursues future growth opportunities. He was appointed President in May, 1998, after serving previously as Vice President - Gas Supply for the company, where he oversaw implementation of risk management policies and trading accounts; negotiated transportation and supply contracts; and provided regulatory guidance.
Prior to joining ProLiance Energy, John served in a variety of positions at Indiana Energy, Inc. affiliate companies, including Vice President, Gas Supply at Indiana Energy Services, and previously Director of Gas Supply for Indiana Gas Company (IGC). As Assistant Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at IGC, he developed federal regulatory strategy and represented the company in hearings before the Federal Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the U.S. Court of Appeals on matters pertaining to FERC rule makings and interstate pipeline rate and tariff changes. While employed with Indiana Energy Services and IGC, John was involved in the negotiations leading to the formation of ProLiance Energy.
Prior to joining IGC, he practiced law for six years in the litigation section of Barnes and Thornburg law firm in Indianapolis. John holds a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with departmental honors from Indiana University. |
