John Stockton, age 48, is a recognized Semiconductor Industry consultant focusing on development-stage companies working in the fields of semiconductors, portable computing, peripheral and display technologies. John is also working with several top-name Venture Capital firms, including Hunt Ventures (Austin, TX), Mayfield Fund (Menlo Park, CA), Partech International (San Francisco, CA) and TVM (Munich, Germany). He also serves as a Director of Atreris (Paris, France) and DAFCA (Boston, MA). Prior to this consulting activity, he was Chairman and Interim-CEO of ARC International plc (London, UK), and before that he was a Venture Partner with Mayfield Fund, a top-tier VC Firm located in Menlo Park, California. In the recent past, he has been CEO of Synergy Semiconductor (high speed bipolar ICs), CEO of Stream Machine (MPEG-2 CODEC company), and has served as a senior executive of several high technology companies. He co-founded sVISION (LCD on Silicon) and Tamarack Storage Devices (optical memory technology). Prior to being a small-company entrepreneur, John was a VLSI-Fellow at VLSI Technology, Inc., where he helped create the PC Chip-Set Division of VLSI, organized the founding of ARM Ltd., a UK-based processor design and intellectual property licensing company, and was a member of the Motorola MC68000 design and marketing teams. |
