John Stearns, P.E., is vice president of Marine Pipeline Systems with INTEC Engineering, responsible for the administration of all business activities within the division, including project execution, resource location, proposals and business development.
Stearns, who has nearly 30 years of oil and gas experience, advanced to this position in February 2004 after serving as INTEC’s project director for the BP Mardi Gras Transportation System in deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
He has 10 cumulative years with INTEC, serving first as a project engineer with the company from 1990 to 1993. Stearns returned to INTEC in 1999 to serve as a project manager.
Other deepwater Gulf of Mexico projects of note, where he served as project manager on INTEC’s behalf, include Total’s Canyon Express project and Elf Exploration’s King’s Peak, Aconcagua and Camden Hills project.
Stearns holds a bachelor’s of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas. |
