John Simonelli joined LookSmart in November 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, John is a key participant in determining LookSmart's business strategy, and is also responsible for managing and setting all aspects of the company's financial direction within key areas, including finance and investor relations. John brings over 20 years of experience in the e-commerce and finance industries, including stints in new media, corporate finance, operational finance, accounting and capital markets.
Prior to LookSmart, John served as Chief Financial Officer of Gap Inc. Direct, the company's online division. Prior to Gap, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Business.com, a business-focused search engine and directory. Before joining the new media world, John honed his skills in the media and financial sectors as Vice President of Corporate Finance at The Walt Disney Company and Vice President, Private Debt Finance, with Citicorp.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. |
