Shirk is responsible for all accounting-related activities, including compiling and monitoring budgets, managing the financial requirements for state and federal grants, forecasting, and posting and processing of all funds. He also administers employee benefits and serves as the liaison between Automation Alley and its accounting firm of record. Shirk has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in accounting from Walsh College. Shirk was previously a staff accountant for a manufacturing company for 18 years in Auburn Hills. He currently resides in Bloomfield Township with his wife and three children. |
